Lesson 1 - Self portrait based on ART MOVEMENT

"Create a piece of art that represents yourself based on an ART MOVEMENT"
This was my first assignment in POD class. REALLY STRESS for me because I'm a design student who never took art in secondary school.

I decided to base my work on 'Expressionism'. This is what i did.
I came up with this piece of art to be my final work based on expressionism because i love emotion. I believe emotion should be expressed more regularly and freely. I chose four seasons to be my drawing because four seasons exactly show my emotions and what i feel in every moment.

These natural physiologically influenced, expressions of our human nature cannot be held back so sternly and still be healthy to our person.

BUT THEN.......
What I did was out of topic and my work didn't based on the art movement that i chosen. I think because i did less research on my art movement. I feel regret now and also learn a lesson : DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU DO THE ASSIGHMENTS!

What is EXPREESIONISM?

Expressionism is art that is more associated with emotion or feeling than with literal interpretation of a subject. Expressionistic art uses vivid colors, distortion, two-dimensional subjects that lack perspective. It's created to express the emotions of the artists as well as produce an emotional response of the viewer.

This is a paint shows EXPRESSIONISM. - "The starry Night"
A happy, whimsical child-like expression. The moon and the stars and the clouds vibrating with energy and expressed joyfully.

Here's another art works show EXPRESSIONISM ^^

Hold me until I come alive.
